Sign system combines different architectural styles

Hannover University of Applied Sciences and Arts' five faculties are spread across several locations within Lower Saxony's state capital. Beyond the central campus on Ricklinger Stadtweg in Linden, where three faculties are located, there is the campus on the Expo Plaza with Faculty III.Furthermore, the locations Hannover-Kleefeld with Faculty V, Hannover-Ahlem with parts of Faculty II and the location Bismarckstraße belong to the Hochschule Hannover.

By mid-2021, the existing buildings will be equipped with a guidance system implemented by meng. The overall concept with tactile information for accessibility was planned by the office schäfer + mirek.So far executed tactile door signs and building signs at all 5 locations. Stelae with tactile elements have so far only been installed at the Linden site, as have tactile site plans and star signs in the outdoor area. An intelligent solution is the four-sided use of the columns for wayfinding.
